ProgramsUnder One Roof We Offer:
Information and Advocacy - We have the experience, training, and networks to help you. We complement and work in partnership with existing service providers and community organizations. In this way, we offer caregivers, their families and friends, students, health care professionals, and the community-at-large, easy access to existing resources and practical information on palliative and end-of-life care.
A Lending Library - The IARC houses a growing library of carefully selected audio visual, web-based, and printed materials as well as practical tools and resources to help you. All visitors are welcome to borrow and use our many resources.
Caregiver Peer Support - We have trained and experienced volunteers who can meet with you on a drop-in basis for confidential, one-on-one peer support. We are also available over the phone, or by e-mail to help you find the answers you need at this very difficult time.
Information Sessions & Workshops - The IARC offers a series of informative presentations and practical workshops developed using the knowledge and experience of caregivers themselves. These sessions will assist you with the day-to-day realities of palliative and end-of-life care. Topics focus on everything from basic care to practical, legal, and financial concerns.
Community Learning - In addition to raising awareness about the realities of palliative and end-of-life care, the IARC provides a meeting place for discussion and support groups in our community. By partnering with colleges and universities, we also support the research and hands-on learning activities of a wide range of students.
